Take Part in Art
Bring the ‘Urban Dragon’ to life in the Chinese Gardens Forecourt, be inspired by the artworks produced on recycled objects, and take the opportunity chalk the walk and visit our ‘More Than Chalk’ Gallery and take home your own piece of art.
There is a whole other side to our artists competing in the pavement art competition!
They all work in other mediums, i.e. oils, watercolours, acrylics and more. Take the time to check out what they can do and if you like what you see make a purchase.
The artworks will be sold by silent auction across the weekend. Bids will be finalised at 2pm on Sunday 7 September.
Speak to the Chalk team about the artworks and meet the artists on site.

View of Courage Studios is a multi-disciplinary creative studio with work spanning across multiple design worlds.
An avante-garde approach to traditional Chinese dragon parades, the 'Urban Dragon' installation will be created live on-site over the weekend of the festival, as a direct creative response to the urban environment. On Sunday afternoon at 3pm the dragon will be paraded amongst a procession of colour and energy, to join the Wearable Art showcase at the main stage!
At 3pm on Sunday the Urban Dragon will join the Wearable Art Showcase in Tumbalong Park!
